Baby Grant in July: updates, pictures & videos

July 26, 2009: Today Grant visited the ocean for the first time! He really enjoyed watching the waves and standing in their wake. We also enjoyed sunrise at the beach nearest the Fort Fisher Aquarium, Kure Beach, NC.

July 22, 2009: Grant is getting cuter and cuter everyday. Mark and I don't even know how it is possible, but it is certainly happening. Grant flashes flirty smiles. He pulls down the burpy cloth to reveal my face when playing peek-a-boo. He smiles and snorts when I tickle his ribs. He grabs everything and tries to put it into his mouth: pitas, yogurt, books, phones and even dogs. He loves both of the dogs, especially Apache, and smiles whenever they walk by. He is rocking on hands and knees now, he can even do yoga -- downward facing dog and plank pose are his specialties. He loves to be read to, especially the Brown Bear, Baby Brown Bear, and Polar Bear books, but he isn't picky. He hates sleeping, but will fall asleep on my shoulder with a little help from my friends: John Lennon, Nina Simone and Neko Case. He also smells delicious and loves to eat! And I'm quite proud of his big Flocca legs and the persceptive big brown eyes that he got from his wonderful father.

July 21, 2009: I went to the doctor today! I weigh 18 lbs 4 oz (70th percentile) and am over 27 inches tall (80th percentile).

July 19, 2009: Grandaddy Randal and Wanda came for a visit this weekend. We had a lot of fun and I love my new bouncer!

July 12, 2009: Mom and dad have been married for 7 years today! Wow, they're getting old :).

July 1, 2009: I went to a party today; mom's friend Lucas Joppa is a doctor now. He's pretty cool: he likes snakes. I enjoyed watching the big kids play in the yard!
